Project Rain Cinematic

In total this project took 8 months from the idea to a completed  6+ minute prototype, including the film portion. The majority of content was created independently by Darik Smith.

A number of resources aided with production such as:
  • General effects (fog & puddles): Unreal Engine 4 marketplace samples
  • Thomas Harle's VFX Weather Pack from Unreal Marketplace (rain/lightning)
  • W3 Studio's 101 Muzzle Flashes & 20+ Gun Impact Particles
  • Several Youtube tutorials and unreal.answers for Blueprint setup help
  • for vehicle placeholder items (which were never replaced due to time)
  • for placeholder textures during early production. Many were replaced later by my own textures, however some such as the crate and roof tile remain
  • a large amount of photo textures
  • - female face raw textures
  • Sheridan's Sound Library for the sound effects and music

  • Unreal Engine 4
  • Autodesk Maya
  • Zbrush
  • Photoshop
  • Quixel Suite
  • 3D Coat
  • Marmoset Toolbag 2
  • xNormal
  • Adobe Audition
